In addition to everything the X2 and X3, the key features of the X10 include: The key features of the second generation hardware include: The X10 is part of the second generation of Mantis Shooting Performance Systems. The X10 mounts to standard slotted accessory rails. just for the stand and 4 sticks. The Mantis X10 is the next revolution of the breakthrough MantisX. I haven’t weighed my setup but I have a SJK pack that weighs 2lb, Mantis weighs 1lb., 2 dump pouches at a total of around 1lb., predator platform is 3lb., predator pack attached to main pack.let’s say 1lb., climbing stick attached to bottom of predator pack at 2 lbs., another couple pounds in tether, carabiners, lineman belt, pull rope, and gear strap and the rest is binos (10oz), rangefinder, grunt call, TP, food, water, extra clothing depending on the weather. So far I can’t find anything prohibiting them in the WRR, which is my main public area. I’ll probably try out spurs in the offseason but I need to research further into public land regs to see where all they are legal. I’m working on a rappelling setup now for the descent and I’m really pumped about that. I will say that my pack got lighter for every hunt on that trip and by the last day I had switched from 6 WE steps to single sticking, which is now my go to with a single Stacked Outdoors stick. No problem hiking a mile in and a few hundred feet up the side of a mountain. I’ve hunted mostly public ground including a trip to the buffalo river. I used my saddle as my safety harness on that hunt and spent about half of the sit in saddle mode. I have yet to hang a lock on and only hunted from one once when I went to a buddy’s club. This is my first year of saddle hunting and I am completely sold on it. The learning curve is definitely higher than hanging a lock on or climbing up with a summit. I think after I put in a few more hunts it'll be easy. Once I got my platform in place (wild edge step with perch) and got all situated it was incredible comfortable. It would only take one slip to have a life altering fall. However, I'm not 18 anymore and realize I'm not invincible.

Yeah part of me just wants to pick a smaller tree with lots of limbs and free climb the thing (with spikes) and just tie in at the top. I'm sure there's some super easy trick but I haven't figured it out yet. Seems weird but when you're hanging from either the tether or the linesman belt it's just tricky.

When I got up in the tree I had the hardest time figuring out how to get my spikes off. The most challenging thing I found with the Saddle is just developing a system. Should be able to get some excellent videos! I can climb the sticks to a lock on right behind my wife or one of my kids and tether in on the back side of the tree. I no longer have to go to one of the double ladders or boxes. I think my main use for the saddle is going to be when hunting with my wife and kids.

so you know I really didn't need any new "stands". That being said I hunt exclusively on private ground in my back yard that is littered with lock ons, permanent box stands, tall double ladders, etc. They are very easy to climb with and the ones I got are light weight. I opted for the tree spikes and am happy with that decision. It essentially is no heavier that wearing a regular HSS safety harness.

If I were hunting black river or some public ground where I just wanted to walk in at daylight and pick a spot based on fresh sign and "pick any tree" it absolutely can not be beat. Too early to tell but I think I am going to really like it.
